A chain of British-owned restaurants required the support of RGIS. The restaurants are one of the most well-known and most loved Italian dining restaurants on the high street. The company have 149 restaurants with a team of over 2,500 employees right across the UK.
THE CHALLENGE
The restaurant chain wanted to achieve a full asset register for the facilities maintenance team, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Capture data of all assets including mechanical, electrical and catering equipment in all 149 restaurants
- Assign, label and log the asset details of all items including mechanical, electrical and catering equipment
- Ensure the make and model of the asset is logged
- Register the condition and take photographs of all assets
- Provide a full accurate asset register

RGIS partnered with Assettrac to provide an end-to-end data capture solution
Assettrac configured their data capture software based on the information that the restaurant chain wanted to capture
RGIS scheduled a team of two experienced RGIS auditors per restaurant, to label all the assets, assigning each item a unique asset tag number
RGIS teams photographed all items and added images to the asset register
All assets were labelled, scanned and information about the asset, including make/model, location and condition, were logged
All information logged was sent up to a cloud asset portal in real-time for projectmanagement, data integrity and onward usage
Results
The restaurant chain found by outsourcing the restaurant asset verification project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
All assets were accurately identified, tagged and recorded with images
Teams accurately logged a total of 11,650 assets across all restaurants
A full and accurate asset register was compiled per store
The accurate and expanded data, enables the restaurant chain to make decisions on assets and manage the maintenance, pre-planned and reactive for them all
