    A chain of supermarkets based in Brazil required the support of RGIS. The supermarket chain is a medium-sized company, prominent in the supermarket sector, and have 25 stores located in Sao Paulo and Litoral Paulista. The supermarket chain’s success is marked by offering quality products and excellent service.

    THE CHALLENGE

    The customer required RGIS to provide the following:

    • Experience within a retail environment
    • All stock to be counted in 19 specified stores
    • Identify variances to expected stock levels
    • Provide accurate reporting in the format requested

    Our Solutions

    The supermarket chain partnered with RGIS to complete the supermarket inventory project, and RGIS provided the following:

    • Scheduled teams of approximately 20 experienced RGIS auditors depending on the size of the store

    • Scanned all stock both on the shop floor and in the back rooms

    • Accuracy checks were competed at all stores with 30% of the mapped areas systemically verified

    • Reporting was sent directly to the customer after each count by location

    Results

    The supermarket chain found by outsourcing the supermarket inventory project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:

    • Accurately counted an average of 1,000,000 pieces per store with a total of 17 million inventoried pieces across all stores

    • Reports were provided in the format the customer requested for all stores

    Conclusion

    Accuracy was excellent which gave the customer confidence in the stock levels at all stores.
