A construction company that is principally dedicated to the sustainable execution of civil works and infrastructure projects as well as providing integral maintenance and management services required the support of RGIS. This area was the origin of the company and represents some 60% of total turnover.
THE CHALLENGE
The construction company represents the backbone of the group, a symbol of quality and expertise specialised in a wide range of projects including roadways, railways, port and airport facilities, large scale hydraulic projects and infrastructure for water supply, treatment and desalination and unique construction projects.
The construction company needed an accurate inventory count of two warehouses to understand what stock was in each warehouse, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Two warehouses to be counted in full
- Pre inventory checks to be completed
- Identify any internal processes that could be improved
Why RGIS?
Customers use RGIS for warehouse inventory counts to obtain accurate, independent verification of stock quantities and locations. This reliable insight helps correct system discrepancies, improve warehouse control, and support confident operational and financial decisions.
Our Solutions
The construction company partnered with RGIS to complete the warehouse inventory counts project, and provided the following:
Visited warehouses to give pre-inventory advice
Scheduled a team of nine experienced RGIS auditors
RGIS team completed inventory in two days per warehouse
Created a bespoke program for the internal codes for verification purposes, as there were no barcodes on the items
Results
The construction company found that by outsourcing the warehouse inventory counts project to RGIS to complete, the following was achieved:
A total of 45,000 items were accurately counted
A full understanding of all stock items and locations within both warehouses
Identified 15% of stock was missing on the customer’s system
As a result of the reports, the customer was able to change internal procedures that were found to have issues

Conclusion
By partnering with RGIS to complete full inventories of its two warehouses, the construction company gained accurate visibility of stock quantities and locations across both sites. RGIS’s pre-inventory checks, bespoke coding solution, and experienced audit teams identified significant system discrepancies and process gaps. As a result, the customer corrected missing stock records, improved internal procedures, and strengthened overall warehouse inventory control.
