    Protec Associates, established over 40 years ago, is located in the heart of Ramos Mejía, Argentina. The tool distributor provides more than 10,000 items from major brands and also imports various machines that the market uses with their respective specialised technical service.

    THE CHALLENGE

    Protek Associates required RGIS to provide the following:

    • All stock to be counted
    • Cover five distribution centres
    • No barcodes on products
    • Identify any variances

    Protec Associates partnered with RGIS to complete the five DC stock count project, and RGIS provided the following:

    • Three days of pre-counting with a team of 10 experienced RGIS auditors

    • Two days of general inventory with a team of 70 experienced RGIS auditors

    • Two days of variance checking with a team of 10 experienced RGIS auditors

    • All pieces of stock were counted within each of the distribution centres

    Results

    Protec Associates found by outsourcing the five DC stock count project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:

    • 8,500,000 pieces of stock were accurately counted without barcodes

    • 10,000 different lines of stock

    • The customer was very happy with the final reporting and results
