REQUIREMENT
The industrial paint manufacturer wanted to verify the industrial paint held within a warehouse after internal counts had variances in expected quantities.
The manufacturer required RGIS to provide the following:
- Blind count of warehouse – no quantities given to auditors to check against
- Complete count within three days
- Count all items and confirm details of each item
SOLUTION
The industrial paint manufacturer partnered with RGIS to complete the blind count of industrial paint warehouse, and provided the following:
- Allocated a team of five experienced RGIS auditors
- Scheduled auditors for eight hours per day
- Counted all items and confirmed the details of each item:
- Batch information
- Volume
- SKU code
- Production date
- Expiry date
RESULTS
The industrial paint manufacturer found by outsourcing the blind count of industrial paint warehouse to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
- Counted and checked 120,000 items
- Identified that 2,000 items variance with main system
- Completed within given time-frame of three days
