The customer required RGIS to provide the following:
Peña Colorada has five warehouses of materials and spare parts used to maintain machinery and equipment used for the extraction of the mineral iron ore. The mining company needed a solution to complete inventories and an operational audit.
Peña Colorada partnered with RGIS to complete the warehouse inventory and operational audit project, and RGIS provided the following:
All auditors received safety training and security checks in accordance with accessing a mine site
Scheduled a team of 9-15 experienced RGIS auditors, per day over 16 days, for the warehouse counts
The operational audit was carried out by 1-3 experienced RGIS auditors, per day over 21 days, reviewing the labelling and variances identified
Reported on any variances to the customer’s system
Peña Colorada found by outsourcing warehouse inventory and operational audit project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
RGIS teams accurately counted just under 2,000,000 pieces
The inventory was carried out within the deadlines established by the customer, the operating and results expectations were also met
The customer was very satisfied with the services performed by RGIS, and was able to update the system with up-to-date and accurate data provided
