An authorised Brazilian mobile phone reseller required the support of RGIS. The company is based in São Paulo, with over 20 stores around the Brazil, over four states, selling mobile phone handsets and accessories. The majority of the stores are kiosks within shopping centres.
THE CHALLENGE
The customer required RGIS to provide the following:
- Reduce the time it took to complete inventories
- Simultaneous inventories across multiple sites
- Verifying inventory data from two different sources
- Produce reports for each individual site

The mobile phone reseller wanted to complete simultaneous inventories over two days rather than it taking a year to complete.

The mobile phone reseller partnered with RGIS to complete the simultaneous kiosk inventory project, and provided the following:
Scheduled a team of 20 experienced auditors – one per store/kiosk
Counted all five ranges
Completed over two days – working with the store managers availability
Consolidated two different stock data file sources into one
Reported all IMEI numbers linked to mobile phones
Counted all accessories including phone chargers, phone cases, earphones
Results
The mobile phone reseller found that by outsourcing the simultaneous kiosk inventory project to RGIS to complete, the following was achieved:
Reduced inventory time from one year down to only two days
Counted an average of 480 items per store
Validation report identified over ordered and missing stock items
Conclusion
The customer now had one accurate file with all the stock items for each store, rather than two different reports previously.
