    Services

RGIS was selected based on proven success delivering stocktaking services for the company in other European markets.

    THE CHALLENGE

A danish-owned retail chain has over 1,000 stores across Europe. Having already worked successfully with RGIS in France, the Netherlands and Norway, the retail chain sought to expand RGIS services across their 100 stores in Finland.
Historically, the retail chain conducted stocktakes using an internal process that required significant staffing resources and resulted in operational challenges. Staff were often taken away from normal duties the following day, causing delays in operational routines.
The objective was to implement a more efficient, accurate and scalable stocktaking solution that would minimise disruption, reduce internal labour requirements and improve stock file accuracy.

    Why RGIS?

    RGIS was selected based on:

    • Proven success delivering stocktaking services for the company in other European markets.
    • Demonstrated efficiency gains through trial counts in Finland.
    • Ability to provide advanced stocktaking technology and structured processes.
    • Capacity to scale coverage across the full Finnish estate.

Initially, a UK-based team travelled to Finland to complete a full cycle across all stores. Following the success of this rollout, RGIS established a dedicated team of local Finnish personnel, fully supported by experienced UK management and RGIS stocktaking expertise.

    Our Solutions

RGIS implemented a structured, cyclical stocktaking programme across the retail chain’s Finnish estate. Key elements included:

    • Completion of trial counts to demonstrate the customer’s process and highlight any efficiency improvements.

    • Deployment of ten RGIS employees, counting millions of pieces across the estate.

    • Comprehensive training provided to the customer’s teams on RGIS tablets to maintain stocktake accuracy.

    • Each full stocktake was completed in a single evening, requiring only two of the customer’s staff members to support the process.

    Results

    • Significant reduction in internal hours required compared with the customer’s previous in-house process.

    • Minimal disruption to daily operations and no next-day staffing impact.

    • Improved stock file accuracy, supporting better stock management and increased sales.

    • Current tracked accuracy rating of 99.42%.

    • PIQA rating of 4.9 out of 5, demonstrating strong customer satisfaction.

    • The customer was particularly impressed by the speed and accuracy delivered by RGIS.
