One of the largest specialist pet retailers in Ireland required the support of RGIS. The retailer has 13 stores around Ireland and employ almost 200 people through stores, head office and distribution centre. The retailer is proud to support local communities through education programmes and an adoption network.
THE CHALLENGE
The customer required RGIS to provide the following:
- Complete wall-to-wall store counts in all 13 pet stores
- All stock to be counted during the evening, outside of business hours
- Identify variances to expected stock levels
- Provide accurate reporting in the format requested

Our Solutions
The pet store chain partnered with RGIS to complete the pet store stocktake project, and RGIS provided the following:
Scheduled teams of 4-5 experienced RGIS auditors for five hours per store
All stock was counted in each store outside of business hours as requested by the customer
Accuracy checks were competed at all stores
Reporting was sent directly to the customer after each count by location
Results
The pet store chain found by outsourcing the pet store stocktake project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
Accurately counted over 24,000 units per store
Reports were provided in the format the customer requested for all stores
Accuracy was excellent, which gave the customer confidence in the stock levels at all stores
Conclusion
The customer realised the cost savings in using a third party to complete the store inventories due to the high level of accuracy achieved.
