The company has retailers worldwide including New Zealand, United States, Caribbean, Japan and Canada. The apparel manufacturer and distributor design, source and distribute a vast range of quality apparel, headwear and resort products under a family of brands.
THE CHALLENGE
The customer required RGIS to provide the following:
- Wall-to-wall warehouse stocktakes completed within a short time frame
- Improved efficiency and accuracy compared to previous in-house counts
- Be able to provide an electronic upload file compatible with the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Variance reports to be completed

Scheduled a team of 42 experienced RGIS auditors to cover day one
Scheduled a team of 35 experienced RGIS auditors to cover day two
All boxes were opened and checked
Variance checking was completed with the warehouse staff, to ensure a high level of accuracy
Included bin locations within the reporting
Results
The apparel manufacturer and distributor found by outsourcing the warehouse stock holding project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:

Counted a total of 427 bin locations
A total of 4,282 SKUs and 818,256 items counted
Provided an accurate electronic upload file to import and updated the stock holding levels
Stock holding file was loaded into the warehouse management system (WMS) immediately
Conclusion
