Restaurant Monthly Drinks Audit
A Caribbean restaurant and bar business was set up in 2010, and designed to recreate the spirit, the smiles and the magic of the Caribbean. The restaurant chain has over 40 outlets in the UK and employs around 1,500 staff. The current turnover stands at nearly £70 million. The restaurant chain also has two restaurants in Germany.
REQUIREMENT
The restaurant chain needed a solution to verify drink stock levels within the restaurants on a monthly basis, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Monthly audits
- Count all drinks in each restaurant
- Reporting to include full monetary value of the drinks department
SOLUTION
The restaurant chain partnered with RGIS to complete the monthly drinks audit project, and RGIS provided the following:
RGIS in collaboration with the customer developed an Excel spreadsheet to show
- List of all available drinks
- Quantities expected
- Purchase prices
- Scheduled one RGIS experienced auditor for one day to each restaurant each month
- Counted all full and opened bottles
RESULTS
The restaurant chain found by outsourcing the monthly drinks audit project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
- The data reporting included the total value of the drinks department for each restaurant
- The customer continues to have monthly counts due to the expertise and accuracy provided by RGIS
