The supermarket chain is the largest food retailer in Ireland, with a proud record of investment and job creation, and employ 9000 colleagues across over 170 stores.

    THE CHALLENGE

    The customer required RGIS to provide the following:

    • Count all assets in chosen stores
    • Tag new assets
    • Update the existing asset register with correct data and locations

    Why RGIS?

    The supermarket chain needed to identify the location of various assets, due to them being moved between stores without the asset register being updated.

    Our Solutions

    The supermarket chain partnered with RGIS to complete the retail asset count project, and provided the following:

    • Scheduled a team of three experienced RGIS auditors per store

    • Training completed a week prior to the event

    • Verified existing assets

    • Checked locations were correct on the asset register and updated accordingly

    • Tagged new assets

    Results

    The supermarket chain found by outsourcing the retail asset count project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:

    • Identified old assets had not been removed from the asset register

    • Updated asset register with the new assets that had not previously been added

    Conclusion

    Identified assets the customer was unaware of, which could then be utilised in other stores. The customer saved money, by not over-ordering assets.
