Agrochemicals Health and Safety, Stock Control and Security Inspection
The largest chemical producer in the world, based in Germany, required the support of RGIS. The chemical products producer comprises of subsidiaries and joint ventures in more than 80 countries and operates six integrated production sites with 390 other production sites in Europe, Asia, Australia, the Americas and Africa. The company has eleven divisions that are grouped into six segments: Chemicals, Materials, Industrial Solutions, Surface Technologies, Nutrition and Care and Agricultural Solutions.
REQUIREMENT
The chemical products producer wanted to have a full audit inspection of the agrochemicals held by third parties, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Work closely with agriculture engineers
- Identify quantities, variances and quality
- Procedures to include health and safety, stock control and security inspection
- Check expiry dates
SOLUTION
The chemical products producer partnered with RGIS to complete the agrochemicals health and safety, stock control and security inspection, and provided the following:
- Scheduled a team of 10 experienced RGIS auditors
- Allocated 400 hours to complete all the inspections
- RGIS project manager developed an executive brief containing all the inspection audit information
RESULTS
The chemical products producer found by outsourcing the agrochemicals health and safety, stock control and security inspection to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
- Based on the results of the audit inspection, a batch and expiration system was recommended to the customer
- New procedures were implemented to improve processes, for example all third parties must now inform the chemical products producer regarding the proximity of the expiration of products
