Full Store Counts During Working Hours

An apparel store chain, established in Mexico City, with 102 stores nationwide and an online store, required the support of RGIS. The company designs collections with unique concepts, which mix world trends with irreverent designs, creating and experiencing season after season processes, techniques, treatments, fits and a number of new ideas. The company employ more than 2,000 people dedicated to making each garment an unrepeatable shopping experience.

REQUIREMENTS

The clothing chain approached RGIS for a solution to shorten the time in which the inventories were currently taking in-house, so required RGIS provide the following:

  • Count all stock in 12 stores including the back rooms
  • Fast and accurate turnaround compared to previous in-house counts
  • Stocktake to be completed before and during working hours, with no disruption to business, staff or customers

SOLUTION

The clothing chain partnered with RGIS to complete the apparel chain stocktake project, and provided the following:

  • Scheduled a team of 3-7 experienced RGIS auditors per store depending on the size of the store
  • RGIS auditors started the count on the sales floor early in the morning before trading commenced as not to disrupt customers, staff and business
  • The back room counts were scheduled after the sales floor
  • Counted all stock with care, speed and accuracy

RESULTS

The clothing chain found by outsourcing the apparel chain stocktake project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:

  • Approximately 6,000 units accurately counted per store with some stores with 12,000 units counted
  • Ensured no disruption was incurred by the business, staff or customers
  • The customer was happy that the stocktakes were performed efficiently prior to and during working hours, when they were not able to complete them themselves
  • RGIS auditors have been scheduled for further audits in the future with more of the customer’s stores, to include operational and internal audits, due to the accuracy and professional service they received
