Construction Company Prefabricated Parts Count
A construction company that has an affiliated factory of prefabricated parts and employs over 180 members of staff, required the support of RGIS. An essential component of the service range is tank construction, an area that has 25 years of success. The pre-stressed concrete tanks are not only well-known throughout Germany, but also have become a product, which stands for reliability, security with the maximum quality and are supported by a high level of customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENT
The construction company needed a stocktaking company with experience in an industrial environment to count prefabricated parts, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Provide recommendations on existing internal process
- Support the internal team
- Validate quantity of items counted
- Experienced auditors that were familiar within an industrial environment
- All stock to be counted within the plant, including all store rooms and stock outside
SOLUTION
The construction company partnered with RGIS to complete the industrial stocktaking project, and RGIS provided the following:
- Scheduled a team consisting of 15 customer employees which were supervised by an experienced RGIS supervisor for one day
- Counted all stock in all locations both inside and outside the plant
- Checked variances between the system and the stock counted
- Presented recommendations on existing internal process
RESULTS
The construction company found by outsourcing the industrial stocktaking project to RGIS the following results were achieved:
- All items were accurately counted in all locations including outside
- Recommendations made during the stock count that improved quality and saved time
- Stock count was completed in one day
